2019 Horse Racing - Farewell to the great Winx

Winx wins her 33rd straight race at Royal Randwick this morning in her final appearance on the track. 25th Group I win and 3rd Queen Elizabeth Stakes win. I haven't seen a horse this good since Spectacular Bid in 1978-79-80. I've never seen a mare this good.

I'm glad she retires sound. She has nothing left to prove. I want her to go be a mom now.

We have truly enjoyed watching her run. I am sure Hugh Bowman will miss her.

....I wish her the best in her life after the track and I thank her for all she gave to the sport. I so hope she is able to pass that greatness on to future generations. May her spirit live forever through her descendants.

run in the pasture, just be a horse.

I believe they plan on her having foals to pass her pedigree on down.

There is a book about her being written.
