Joining forward Brett Connolly, who said Monday he was turning down the invitation, Holtby said Friday he was respectfully declining the invite.
My family and myself, we believe in a world where humans are treated with respect regardless of your stature, what youre born into, said Holtby, a noted LGBTQ rights advocate. Youre asked to choose what side youre on, and I think its pretty clear what side Im on.

but the problem they have in the playoffs is their lack of a physical edge. They can get pushed around. Teams like Washington, Boston and Philadelphia can bully them. I wish Pittsburgh hadn't let Ryan Reaves go. He was their muscle.
