Saturday, against the Diamondbacks, with a man on third base, Sandoval fielded a soft grounder, checked the runner, then proceeded to skyrocket the ball to first base, ten feet over his head. Runner on third scores, hitter makes it to second.

The Panda ain't ready for prime time. Bochy really needs to take another look at Jae-Gyun Hwang.

Sandoval was 0-for-4 on Monday at Coors Field and he’s hitless in his last 33 at-bats. That’s the longest streak by a Giant since Johnnie LeMaster made 37 consecutive outs in 1984. Sandoval is batting .196 in 97 at-bats since returning to his first home, with an OPS that’s about 100 points below the mark that inspired the Red Sox to cut bait and swallow $50 million.

Oh, and the nimrod Giants cut Jae-Gyun Hwang loose, and he flew back to South Korea

he's playing good defense and making good contact at the plate -- balls just aren't finding gaps. He's paid the minimum so it's a good deal for the team. It's possible he could be sent down or benched so younger guys can play. I am in favor of this. I won't defend Pablo and don't expect him back next year. But I also understand needing a placeholder at third. Teams do this all the time.

Mad is overlooking the business angle and just trying to stir up shit. Without cBoy or Upton there's a vacuum here.

Jae-gyun Hwang was outrighted and it's likely he won't return. I guess Sabean/Evans/Bochy feel they can succeed without him.
