Wow ... Texas State / Ohio game went into triple overtime

I had no idea a college game couldn't end in a tie (shows how much I followed college ball).

Ohio lost its first game of the season in a shootout Saturday, losing 56-54, in triple overtime. It was Ohio's first triple overtime in program history.

Ohio was up 31-28 in the fourth quarter before quarterback Greg Windham fumbled, giving Texas State possession. Texas State trudged down the field to score a touchdown, going up 35-31.

Windham responded, throwing a 75-yard touchdown pass to Papi White, putting Ohio up 38-35. Texas State didn't go quietly into the night, kicking a field goal to put the game into overtime.

My first college overtime was when Arizona State hosted USC in 1996, ASU scored first on the first possession then got a pick 6 on USC's.

I began my career on NCAA 14 with Texas State as an offensive coordinator. I like to start my career with 1 star schools and work my way up. Speaking of overtime, I won a 5 overtime game against New Mexico as Colorado State, the college overtime can go on forever sometimes.

On edit: 1996 was the first season of overtime.
