Related: About this forumOakland A's: 21 games over .500 at season's mid-point
Swept a tough Marlins team this weekend to finish at 51-30 for the first half of 2014.
They've done this despite losing two parting pitchers to Tommy John surgery before the season began (A.J. Griffin, Jarrod Parker).

51-29. But since they play in the middle of the USA, people can't notice them.

(10,893 posts)4. The A's aren't noticed that much, either.
So far, they've only had one of their games air on ESPN, and it was a road game against the Angels. Meanwhile, they continue to show the Red Sox and Yankees a bunch, despite their unremarkable records.
