(31,227 posts)Cleveland Browns rookie linebacker Ausar Walcott was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted murder for allegedly punching a man outside a club in Northern New Jersey.
Authorities told The Bergen Record that Walcott punched Derrick Jones in the head just after The Palace Gentlemen's Club closed early Sunday morning.
Police say Jones, who is from New York City, is in critical condition. Walcott, 23, is held on $500,000 bail. The Browns said in a statement that the team is "aware of the situation."
Walcott was signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia last month. In 45 games for Virginia, he totaled 128 career tackles, 1.5 sacks, four passes defensed and one fumble recovery.

(10,115 posts)Man, it is hard listening the the DA at the hearing but you can't go anywhere without cell towers and video catching your travels. The DA followed all of Hernandez' travels by cell tower pinging and video footage.

Along the way, Lloyd alerted relatives in a text message, asking them, Did you see who I am with? After they asked who, he replied cryptically, NFL, the prosecutor said.
Just so you know, Lloyd added. It was the last text message he sent before he died, McCauley said.
In the North Attleborough industrial park where Lloyd was murdered, surveillance videos captured the men arriving in the same silver Nissan that Lloyd had gotten into in Dorchester, the prosecutor said.
