Related: About this forumwhere did it say there was a rule that you couldn't post olympic spoiler messages in the subject top
I just got a post hidden by the jury, and if there was an alert to all DU members then I could understand, but I didn't see any alert....so I feel this decision was unjustified!!!!!!!!!

(23,766 posts)it would be helpful if there was some sort of blanket alert posted through the course of the games so as not to offend the sports nuts on here who care more about a stupid sporting event than what is actually going on that could affect society.

(102,471 posts)It has always been the case that spoilers are not announced in subject lines. Common decency for major events like the Olympics that are broadcast in multiple timezones.
As for your complaints, feel free to take it up with Skinner. I'm merely trying to let you know.

(29,322 posts)I wouldn't post spoilers myself but understand that if you don't want to see spoilers, don't come to a sports forum.

(29,149 posts)Posts are hidden based on community standards, not a list of rules. Today, the community got tired of people deliberately posting spoilers in subject lines in GD.

(68,644 posts)It would be the list of common sense expectations of an online community that are so obvious that they should need to be explicitly spelled out.
That's where.
