So now I must reread some of the earlier stories..Just received Cyteen..complete

in one vol..700 pgs...The Chanur series? For some reason, it took me some time

to be able to follow her...Now I really enjoy the stories..

7. Weber and Flint have written several books together, in Honor series and 1632

Flint has a lighter hand, adds bit of humor now and then

2. My favorites by her---Paladin, Merovigen sp? Nights, Chanur series

Also really like Cuckoo's egg

M Nights has lots of contributions by other authors

Chanur's Legacy was just fair

Was told by someone yrs ago her last name is Cherry but she added h to be distinctive

Super highly recommend Paladin!!

5. If you are into science fiction, Anne McCaffery wrote some damn good ones

While I am more into epic fantasy, her SF is very good. You have to sort through the Dragon series to find them though.

My favorite SF of all time is Stephen R. Donaldson's Gap series. You will NOT be disappointed.

edited: Damn, I forgot about Heinlein. What a dunce.

9. Connie Willis. Start with "The Doomsday Book"

and go on to anything else of hers that grabs you.

Robert Charles Wilson. My favorite of his is "A Bridge of Years".

Jack McDevitt. He has two series going, and they are both excellent.
