Fourth "Matrix" Movie, Keanu Reeves And Carrie-Anne Moss Will Star

Sixteen years since the last Matrix film, Warner Bros. announced Tuesday that Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise their iconic roles as Neo and Trinity in a fourth installment of the series. Co-creator Lana Wachowski is set to write, direct, and produce the upcoming sequel.

“We could not be more excited to be re-entering The Matrix with Lana,” said Toby Emmerich, chairman of Warner Bros, in a press release, calling Wachowski “a true visionary—a singular and original creative filmmaker.”

If you made a trilogy where the main characters die at the end, maybe don't try for a 4th film... RockRaven Aug 2019 #4

"No word on whether Laurence Fishburne will be back as Morpheus or Hugo Weaving will reprise his role as villain Agent Smith. 'Many of the ideas Lilly [Wachowski] and I explored 20 years ago about our reality are even more relevant now. I’m very happy to have these characters back in my life and grateful for another chance to work with my brilliant friends,' Wachowski said in a statement."

Yeah, yeah, spoilers, I know, but The Matrix trilogy has been our forever ("forever" in the age of the internet anyhow) -- you might as well scold me for spoiling Romeo and Juliet when I let everyone know that they died too.

and each time get something new.

Perhaps this 4th one will link all 3. There's so much that's happened in the intervening years with AI, consciousness, preserving consciousness that whole new worlds are possible in Wachowski imagination.

... and you take a green pill to reach the next layer out.

Who knows how many layers there are before you reach the final layer of reality?

That would explain the absurd physics of both Matrix worlds.

is good enough to suspend my disbelief and also is engaging, then this next installment sounds good to me. After all, it is science-fiction.
