If I were Poet, and I could Speak

What do I want,
Let me tell you, I thought,
if only it were that simple
To say what seems impossible.
There is this place I thought,
I should go, to live--- within today's world.
Yet still settle to leave it where the earliest
settlers first found it once
Here where the native people lived.
Within its pristine natural beauty
beyond mere words.
To settle within the landscape, to live---
and allow it to breath, really listen, the slow
days breathing --- the heartbeat.
Speaking aloud with no sound.
People yearn for what --- they mostly cannot
say, as though they were born to be unsure.
But it is no secret that no one is sure---
well, some certainly do project it
Some might even be moving in the right direction,
as if to one day find It.
I guess most would classify it as, the truest meaning
In any life, and even through--- in the most difficult of times
Only the luckiest of all might one day find the answers.
And still it all seems far too late.

We wait for others to follow the same path
by just being lucky, far too much
And there's more of us now
And yet still it's the impossible
to say what they need.
Why?

Peace!
