In times like these, there's nothing like a little P.G. Wodehouse. Also reading some short stories of John O'Hara. Looking for an engaging novel to immerse myself into.

(12,157 posts)It is non-fiction but a very good read.
I am back to Wizard's First Rule. And I may start listening to Barbara Kingsolver's Unsheltered. Her book The Poisonwood Bible gave a great background to me in understanding Fanny's chapters on life in Ivory Coast, Africa.

I didn't see you down here. But thanks for thinking of me. I'm fine, just in an earlier time zone than you. So, your noon is just my getting up time...
Hope you find some new, good things to read.

(1,451 posts)Its a novel by Carter Sickels set in the mid-eighties and addresses the impact of the AIDS crisis on a small town, particularly the family of a young man who comes home with that diagnosis following the death of his partner. Its especially poignant for those of us who lived through that era.
