Here's a new trailer for the film Hidden Figures, on the untold true story of African-American women working at NASA who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit.

The movie stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe, and hits movie theaters on January 13, 2017.

These are the types of narratives AfAms want their children to see and pursue. Every AFAM family should take their children and extended family members to see this film together.

Our nation has a long way to go--we foolishly thought we were "there" on the sexism thing, but no--we will have four years of an ignorant orange blowhard instead of the most qualified and prepared candidate EVER.

smh!

Bigotry sucks. It takes some strong people to push back and persevere.

I'm looking forward to this film, too--it'll give me a little hope, I think.

I like to do that sort of thing, too. It aids in the enjoyment of the visual spectacle.
