Driving into work this morning ...

NPR did a segment on the racial numbers associated with this presidential race. They noted that, this will be the last election where the gop can implement a strategy that relies, almost exclusively, on capturing the white vote, to the exclusion of other racial groupings.

As I listened to the report ... as the interview kept asking what it was about the gop-base that prevented them from effectively reaching non-white folks ... I waited for the interviewee (a nationally known political analyst, that I normally respect) to state the obvious ...

Despite their claims of color-blindness and "I'm not a racist" protestations, to the gop-base: RACE STILL MATTERS!

I was soooo disappointed.

at NPR and their posturing to avoid any stance regarding the racial divide in this country. Are the Board of Directors that compromised,we surly believe this to be true. So much for a independent non bias news, they have drifted hard hillbilly right since the Fairness Doctrine was torched. Thanks,Saint Ronnie (the turn coat teamster),for your throat-slashing.

The interviewer did a pretty good job ... No asked the question 3 or 4 times and left the pregnant pause out there, waiting on the interviewee to fill the gap.
