Finally got a response to my request to Matrix Medical to STOP CALLING ME

This has to do with them wanting me to schedule a 'home assessment/wellness check', which I've already declined. Of course they didn't email me a confirmation that they'd received my request to stop calling, which is what I ask. Instead they CALLED again, which I specifically said NOT to do. Since this time it was a human being, they were able to follow the routine to get past my robo call screening service.

Ok, fine. I repeated AGAIN that I'm very self sufficient an in no need of this service. And if I ever do think I need it, I'll call. I was stern, and unwavering, but very polite.

Honestly, I'd like to think this is a well meaning service, and it probably is for someone in need, but to me it's just an unwanted intrusion by strangers who wants to snoop around my house.

Hopefully the calls will stop, now.

I scheduled a 'Medicare check up' in June, with my new doc's group; am impressed they do this (but kind of concerned they'll want me to undergo tests most seniors have which I haven't had.)

The health care provider probably just passed a list of names and numbers to a third party as people who would qualify. The 3rd party makes money calling and gets a piece of any subcontracts to actually deliver the service.

They are very incented to keep calling and badger you into signing up.

I understand there are seniors who have health and mobility issues. I don't. My activity level is pretty much what it has been for the past 30+ years. If someone wants to help me with something, fine, but the odds are I can take care of it, myself. One of these visits would be a waste of everyone's time and, IMHO, a massive invasion of my privacy.
