very scary day at the hospital for my hubby and me.

For weeks we thought we had weird colds. At 95 his was worse than mine but he never really complained. He got weaker and weaker his Primary physician suggested he go to the ER to be evaluated. He was admitted to the hospital Friday And was told he might be released yesterday. But things became much worse today.. He Collapsed to the floor and turned Gray got cold and couldn't respond to questions of who he was. Suddenly there were 10 staff In his room monitoring a and eventually using a sling to get him in bed. Then he was transferred to sub ICU. He will get close attention. He has Alzheimer's along with various issues.. The main culprit Is Para influenza. And maybe afib..

I have parainfluenza too but I'm younger and it's it's not so bad in me.

The Alzheimer’s makes him more difficult to treat because he keeps forgetting where he is. I keep returning to be with him and was there when he collapsed.

Keep us in your thoughts. Scary day. I thought I lost him but he was stable when I Came home..

After I regained my composure and it looked like he was bouncing, back I snapped photos of the work they were doing

And after getting his color back in sub ICU

Test may show up simething that can be treated. There is more going on than the Para-influenza.

His Primary doctor didn't help with this email...

"My mother had it last year and almost died 18 days in the hospital and then a month and the Skilled Nursing Facility. Hopefully in time David will be okay. Sounds like it's the virus that's getting both of you hang in there and take care of yourself and keep me updated with David periodically."

You are living one of biggest worries. I can feel your fear through your message. It sounds like he is where he needs to be and it looks... and sounds like they are very knowlegible. I will lite a candle for him and you both, if thats okay. Meanwhile peace and healing to both of you.

As a geriatric Doc he has been in charge of Alzheimer’s clinical trials. We opted to stay with him since his focus was Alzheimer’s. Not so good with para-influenza though. Could have been an Easter afternoon cocktail talking....

Poor guy has so much going on. Para-influenza, Alzheimer’s, AFib, low Sodium, being 95!! Mainly he is a healthy senior. Ambulance is due in an hour to help us get him upstairs. Tri-level condo. Helps us stay healthy. Usually.
