Question....

I don't live in the country but I hope to in a few years. I grew up on a produce farm. For personal use we had quite a few chickens, a pig or two and my family hunted for a lot of their own meat including but not limited to squirrels (my grandmother loved her some squirrel.)

So, am I welcome in this group even though I don't meet the statement of purpose standard? It is really a narrow purpose, no?

I grew up on a working farm with dairy, beef, poultry and crop operations that produced income. I have lived half my life in the country and hope to return to live there again. But I do not live in the country at the present and would seem to be excluded from this group.

If you live in the county in your heart or your dreams, as well as in actuality. Welcome.

Someone may be thinking about going rural and want to see what its all about.

There are advantages and disadvantages to living rural but after doing it now for over 20 years the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.

Welcome aboard.
