in the street, etc.

The vast majority of people -- who find guns in public unnecessary and detrimental -- would rather you keep your gun perversions at home. Sorry, but you asked.

the laws providing for the issue of CHL permits?
Certainly being the"vast majority of people" they could have blocked the laws from being passed.

3. Because outside the home you're just being rude. Better to die than be impolite.

Remember you life is only valuable at home around your family. Out in public you may intimidate someone...

4. 280+million people walk around without guns every day. They don't die. Get over such irrationality.

5. And yet there are people who are mugged or killed everyday.

I don't carry a gun, personally, I don't feel the need to, but I have no problem with those who do. There are many people who are still alive today because they were robbed, or attacked and they had a way to defend themselves.

Why does somebody who carries a gun (even occasionally) have to be paranoid? To a lot of people there carrying a gun is no dfferent than carrying a cell phone. If you need it, its nice to have.

I carry a spare tire in my car, I have a fire extinguisher in my home and I have auto insurance. Would you say I'm paranoid about flat tires, fires and auto accidents?

To suggest that any one who prepares for when the odds failing you is irrational is just silly.

Either people do or don't get attacked....

Either way it's a chance I don't have to take. As for me and my family we believe in safety first, victims later.

violent crimes occur in places other than in or near the home.

The irrational mind is the one that believes citizens have the right to self-defense in some places but not others.
