A friend of mine sent me this. I pondered about using it, but the point of the op ed outweighs the source. While I disagree with some things and ambivalent about other opinions he expresses here, like repealing the Gun Control Act, I completly agree with the point of the op ed.
Actually, I think theyre worse than that, but Im trying to keep this a family-friendly post.
What, you might ask, is OCIYF!? Its an activity, usually orchestrated among multiple participants, to openly carry firearms for the deliberate purpose of drawing attention to themselves, usually by means of frightening a populace unfamiliar with the sight or practice of open carry. They typically to do this to increasing degrees until they compel action against their OCIYF! activities, at which point they express outrageously outraged outrage.

(15,396 posts)While they're trying to make a valid point, I really don't see how this kind of asshattedness can lead to a law being passed to make OC of side arm legal.
Don't be a peckerwood just because you can.

The main group required it; the local group philosophically disagrees. Sorry, I read this as a local item in the Austin Statesman, and I don't have a link.

(22,457 posts)Unless your state does not allow CC then no need to do it. Accidental CC exposure is another good reason.

No, I'm not post the direct link.
Shocked? I wouldn't be. Just think of the dimmest and most crass person you know, there is a show on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim that is too low brow even for him.
