(18,318 posts)I don't like all the positions, tactics and strategies of the pro-2A organizations, but they DO have the grassroots organization, a powerful internet/social media presence, and a WIDELY-BASED source of money to effect policy. The controller/banners must rely on some money-bag donors, a crumbling MSM presence, and elites highly-placed in some state & city bureaucracies to effect "change." And for some reason, they don't see the necessity (or possibility?) of countering the pro-2A organizations. Instead, they must wait on a mass-shooting incident to pump up the volume. And even then, they start out the conversation as they have for decades: Bans and more bans. Then wring their hands over whey they have failed again.
No wonder the strategy they wish to embark on now is to stigmatize millions of fellow Americans.
