I don't go back that far, and don't really remember what we ate as a child, whether lettuce was available all year, or only frozen greens in the winter. I have no idea.

There is spinach soup, I missed that the first time.

in WW I though. I actually met him as a child at the dentist office of all places (in Kansas City in the 60’s). I was probably nine or ten.

it's buttered toast, lightly sprinkled with sugar. That sounds delicious, except with spinach soup!
