My Cat Oliver is Depressed Because his Friend Left (New Pic)

He would go to my neighbor's and hang out with his friend the skeleton every day:

I would come home, look to my left as I drove down the road, and he would be there with his buddy. True, there's a bit of a size difference but it didn't seem to interfere with the rapport the two had.

Unfortunately, Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is on its way, and the skeleton has disappeared.

Oliver is bereft. He just lies in a pile of leaves and sleeps.

Sigh. Hope he feels better soon. Maybe he'll catch a mouse and cheer himself up.

Here he is in better times:

Treats, skritches, nothing helps.

Poor little guy. It's tough losing a friend.

Don’t you have a rocking chair that needs a skeleton, too? Or a bathtub?

You’ll be okay, Oliver.
Let it go and move forward.
You have plenty of friends yet to find in this life, in all 9 of your lives.

Believe me.
There will be more bones in the yard.
Meanwhile maybe look for a friend with a bit more substance? 😉
Sending you love and sweet Shalom. And some virtual catnip.

Things are getting worse. Now he is sleeping in a pile of leaves behind a car:

Is this a cry for help?
