It's not even 7:30 and everyone is fed and hydrated. Well, except for me. I'm next

I was surprised to see Spooky and Scooter waiting by the side garage door, this morning, when I brought out the food. I haven't gone that route in months.

And I've learned that kittens can hear food being dished out, from a great distance. Everyone but Rhian came rushing from inside the porch to the far side of the house. I grabbed Bronwyn and took her to the deck and the boys followed. No sense in triggering any of the bigger cats to swat at the smaller ones.

Rhian seems to prefer eating her meals INSIDE, which is fine. She gets her fill.

So now it's time for coffee and a big breakfast.

Has been developed! I think the morning chores will go smoother this winter now that you have a pattern and places where you can manage the crowd.

No doubt the kitcats will be spending a lot of the daytime out in the sunshine. That will give me a chance to give the porch a good sweeping.

I've noticed they tend to group cuddle on an old lawn chair pad, right by one of the floor to ceiling windows. They get the shelter of being indoors while still connecting with the outdoors.

I had one that came running every morning when I opened her can of food, one of those cans with the pull-tab on the lid.

I wondered if there was a specific sound that got her attention so I experimented. I rattled the can around on the countertop, slid it back & forth... no cat. I pulled the tab up a bit, because that made a crunching type sound... no cat. But when I pulled the tab up enough that it penetrated the lid & made a "pfft" sound she came running. She had learned that sound meant the can was open.

She was a sweetie.
