Day 1 of the slow intro of Tudor to the kidcats

Gryff appears to be terrified of Tudor. He is currently in hiding.

Madoc is most displeased, but then that's his modus operandi. He even hisses at my hands because they smell like kitten. The hisses are toning down. It will likely take him the longest because he's a bit possessive of me.

Arthur hisses at Tudor but then he stops and sniffs. I expect he will come around very soon.

Carys? Carys who??

Sian softly hisses but doesn't try swatting him. Actually, none of the kidcats have done any swatting.

I was just outside and the mom has the 3 girls right at the shelter they were using. I'm going to take Tudor out at 8 so he can run around and wear himself out so I'll see if the shelter is again being used.

As for Tudor, he LOVES to sit on my shoulder and give me kitten kisses. And he sleeps there, too. Earlier this afternoon he slid down my arm, never waking up, and continued to snooze in the new location - the crook of my arm. Tonight he will sleep in the guest room. I might sneak up there, later, to keep him company.

Since his mom essentially abandoned him, I feel certain he's now imprinted on you. Just like some goslings did with me years ago.

When I gave the boys flea baths when they were kittens it was a battle royale. And they were the same age.

I didn't see many fleas, and don't find many when I comb him but I'll keep checking.

And I have no doubt that on some level, our joint experience, last Tuesday morning, bonded us in a very special way. I still can't believe that the mom was in the shelter, ignoring the cries of the 3 girls. Me? I was out in the rain, in a panic, collecting soaking wet kittens and then microwaving towels so I could warm them up.

and also possibly too young herself to know any better. Sounds like she tries, but, loses focus easily.

I will feel much better when you tell me Lady Carys has emerged from hiding to greet the Tiny Tudor.
