I'm not sure she's nursing him so I'm going to bring him some slurry.

8. I count 5 kits. Is that correct? Are they all the feral kittens you're currently aware of?

Beautiful litter of youngsters. Is Mom around? How soon before you'll be able to get them to the vet? Do you get any assistance from a local rescue group? How many cats/kittens inside and out are you currently caring for?

Have you thought of setting up a Go Fund Me account to help cover the expense of food, vet care and other supplies?

Sorry for all the questions, but tough to keep track of all the kittens you rescue and take care of.

I'm in awe. I have a hard enough time taking care of my one precious girl.

What you do i is heartfelt and wonderful.

My 17 year old Baby Girl.

The 4 little ones are siblings. The bigger one has two siblings - one of whom is pretty socialized.

Then there's Dylan, who spends time here but lives elsewhere along with his mystery sibling that I call Dot.

I have two people who might just be interested in adopting a couple of them. The odds are I will take in tiny little Tudor. When they are big enough I'll take the others for snipping/spaying. I just bought a new humane trap to HOPEFULY start trapping the adults.

The two local and VERY active Toms are no longer around. One simply disappeared and I found the other, hit by a car, in front of my house.

She's a senior now and sleeps a lot. Cuddles next to me whenever I'm on the sofa. Love her to bits.

17. Her face looks a lot like my Ember, except

that Ember has a rosy blush around her mouth. She has the black and gray tabby stripes, too, but with random streaks of red here and there. Her eyes have the same almond shaped tilt, too, and I've often seen the same expression on Ember's face as on Baby Girl.

Baby Girl looks quite healthy and young for being 17.

18. She has her issues, but yes pretty healthy for her age.

January of last year she was diagnosed with renal insufficiency. Vet said she may last 6 months to a year. It's now been a year and a half. Other than sleeping 20 hours a day and peeing alot because of the Renal Insufficiency, she's doing pretty good. Wakes me up at 5:00 every morning to let her out on the screened in patio, eats 1½ 3oz cans of Fancy Feast every day, and nibbles on dry kibble.

All in all so happy she has lived longer than the vet predicted, and I cherish each day she is with me.

Tell Ember that Baby Girl meowed her greeting. I hope Ember has many more happy years with you.

She has been pretty healthy. Had a bladder infection when she was a year old that cleared up quickly with treatment. I changed litter brands and there has been no recurrence. Had an eye infection around the same time that cleared up quickly with drops. No other problems so far.

Sorry to hear about Baby Girl's renal problem. I'm sure that you treasure the time that you have with her. Give her hugs and kisses from Ember and me.

The temps are going down into the 40's tonight so I'll keep checking to make sure he's in the shelter with the rest of the kittens. If he's still outside at sunset, I'm not risking it so I'll bring him in, again. He did really well, last night. with Dylan for company. Hopefully he will be OK by himself. Unless, of course, Dylan asks to sleep over, again.
