AITA I have a friend who insists on taking her dog everywhere.

I enjoy my friend’s company, but it turns into the Petey show when we go out. There is a Pride event that I planned on going to. She invited herself and the dog. It was not what I had in mind and I begged off.
I don’t mind being around him in small doses, but he can be problematic. She let him off leash and he attacked a fawn. He can’t stay away from porcupines. I feel I have to keep one eye out for him when I’m around him. That being said, he’s mostly a good boy.
I know he is her world and would be terribly hurt if I say something. Any advice?

can be extremely annoying to people who don't love him. I would never take him with me to events. He's learning to be on a leash but we never go outside our yard.

I think you can kindly explain that while Petey is a good boy (being generous) you don't feel you can relax around him off-leash, so you very much enjoy seeing her but not with the dog.
