Carys' playing whiffle ball fetch technique needs some work

She will chase and grab the whiffle ball, pick it up in her teeth, run back towards me and then turn tail, whiffle ball still gripped in her teeth, and drop it in some random spot on the other side of the house. Then she waits for ME to fetch it. Apparently I'm the one being trained.

Well, at least she's fully engaged in playing with the boys AND with me. At night she will climb over the boys to curl up on me, and then when she's had her fill of scritches and kisses, she climbs over me to go back and curl up with the boys. She no longer bolts when I walk past her. Sometimes she looks up at me and I wonder if she's thinking 'Hey! Aren't you going to try to pet me?' And I am getting some slow blinks. Initiated by her. Which is lovely.

And one of the newer ferals, who used to flee when I appeared, now hangs around and watches me fill the bowl.

Bruiser stopped by, yesterday, and I got in a few pets. I'm convinced he was someone's pet.

This morning I reached down and she rolled over and started to play wrestle with my hand.

It's been so wonderful watching her lose her fear of me and gain so much confidence in herself.

We have 3 in the house and a couple of ferals that I feed. The ferals watch me and come to the bowls after I walk away. I can talk to them from 20 feet, not closer.

She's decided this is a pretty good gig, maybe she'll stick around a while.

Mikey comes for a visit pretty soon, when his other mom goes for surgery. He'll be here for a week or two, by then he'll start getting cabin fever. It will be really nice to have him here for a visit, though.

I'm glad all those kitties have the family vibe going on, Gryff seems a little distant, I hope he feels comfortable about his place in the group.
