Where do your pups sleep at night?

Ours always chose to sleep as close to me, their mom, as possible. There's a big old sofa in our big master bedroom and they all have slept there. Of course, I covered it with washable blankets.

There was an exception and he and I had an uncomfortable relationship. He was my mother's dog that I inherited when she died. He was angry, felt deserted, and blamed me. He slept in our living room. That's why I think it would've been a good idea to let him see that my mom, his first mom, was dead, so then he would've have felt deserted on purpose. They can reason. I wish I had taken him to the funeral home. I don't think that would've been an unreasonable request.

as close as she can with her head on my pillow.

The third one can't jump up on the bed, so she does the next best thing. Sometimes when I'm the last one in, I have to try and position myself around them.

Sometimes I think they believe it is their bed and they just allow us to share it with them. One loves burying herself under the covers. All three are rescues.

Under the covers with us. He's always cold. Two cats on my feet. The Pyrenees, Duke, on the floor at the foot of the bed. The collie, Frankie, rotates around to 3 different dog beds, the couch, or the rug in front of the wood stove. She won't get on our bed unless the cats vacate.

Hard to say about Ogee.

Ogee grew up without any discipline, dh just said, and we had rules here. Plus, he was no longer an "only child." He was just pissed off for many reasons.

14. My girl Willow is an Akbash,

a livestock guardian breed from Turkey. She's protective, loyal, intelligent, and very independent. Oh, I tried so hard to get her to sleep on my bed, or at least on a dog bed next to me, but she prefers to sleep in the hallway where she can watch over us all. She would gladly sleep outside if I let her. I envy all of you with your cuddly dogs (but I wouldn't trade Willow for anything)!

16. My two boys refuse to go to bed with me at night but every morning

I am a doggo sandwich upon waking. The only exception to this pattern is when something happens to them, like porcupine run-ins and getting their vaccinations. Whenever they come home from the vet they sleep with me all night for a couple days. I adopted them as bonded brothers (different breeds) and they really do move and act in unison much of the time.
