Carys meowed, and I mean audible meowed, for her breakfast this morning!!

That was music to my ears!! She's still a bit wary and skittish but it seems to be lessening, every day.

Today I will break out the lickable treats. They all go crazy for those.

2 came from the animal shelter and one was born in our feral colony. Biddy was somehow never feral. When she was about 4 weeks old, her siblings would scatter and hide when I brought out food, while she would just look in my face. Then she started coming to me for pets, ignoring the food.

I brought her in the house and she is just happy to be here with us, her cat and human family, but she doesn’t speak much at all and likes feet better than laps. Sometimes I will be napping in my recliner with Sheelah and Manny keeping me warm. Biddy will wake up, perhaps feeling alone. Then she will start calling in a quiet sweet voice that matches her sweet face.

Here’s the 3 mouseketeers enjoying some air and sun at the screen door, Fuzzy Manny against the door, Sheelah with white feet against the screen door and short Biddy hugging her friend Sheelah

Little Gwyn (now known as Space Boy) pretty quickly warmed up to me. His sister, Moon, sort of did. Carys was always the one hanging back, observing. She still does that when I'm playing with the boys. I try to pick her up at least twice a day to give her a good combing or brushing.

The boys aren't very vocal. Madoc and Arthur talk to me when I'm filling their food bowls. Sometimes they just break out in spontaneous conversation. I never know what triggers that but it always makes me SO happy. If I encounter Gryff in the hallway or when he wants scritches, he will start meowing and cooing.

Sophie and Boudicca were VERY vocal cats. I kind of miss that.

Manny talks, being a snooze alarm when I’m trying to sleep in a bit, and then L’il Biddy Kitty hardly ever. All Biddy has to do is look at us.

And she's using it! Of course, Arthur decided to push her down OFF of HIS ledge, but I'm sure she will make another go of it, later.

the little guys DO go crazy for them. I had some awhile ago, but then had to switch away from that store because one of our cats needed gastrointestinal food so we began buying from the vet. The lickables sort of went by the wayside...

Luvsomes, Delectables and something made by Friskies. They don't get these very often - it's mainly when I'm either giving them flea medicine or I want to get my hands on Carys.

Gryff isn't so fond of the Luvsomes but I think that's because I used that to hide a pill, one time.
