I'm happy to report that Arthur is making up for lost meal time

He's gobbling down what ever I give him - I even managed to get him to eat some kitten pate mixed in with some 'shreds' and he was cleaning up the bowl of kitten kibble. He's also joined his brother Madoc in impatiently meowing at me while I get the food ready. Gryff still stays silent, letting the others speak for him.

The big trick is keeping Gryff from eating the kitten kibble. He loves it.

Sounds like the appetite stimulant from the vet is really working. wnylib Jul 2022 #4
The funny thing is, that stimulant is supposed to work right away but it didn't for Arthur Siwsan Jul 2022 #5

I think that if there was anything wrong with him, it would not work so well. So glad to know that he is ok.

He was still barely eating for most of the day but by Tuesday morning he was starting to get back to normal. Who knows. Maybe he got ahold of something, like some sort of insect, that just upset his stomach. He does take after his big brother when it comes to chasing down anything crawling or flying. I was relieved that he was still drinking water.

I just panic easily when it comes to kittens.

the stimulant that they put in ear. Is it drops or a cream.
I have always been a worrier when it comes to my cats if they aren’t acting like they normally do.

Given what you went through, I think anyone would forgive you 100x over!

I'm glad he's eating so heartily again! Medicine works differently in everyone... probably the same for critters, too. Just took a bit to work in his system. Might be one of those things to keep in the back of your mind where he's concerned.

Mine just had his 2nd round of shots today. He was so good, and he's right on schedule with his weight, etc. 3.3oz. Even they remarked about how long his legs are. I think he's going to be a big cat when he grows up... which I wish he'd take a LONG time in doing!!! (sigh)
