Related: About this forumArthur has been on a TEAR, today
When I woke up at 1:30, he snuggled right down next to me. Then at 4 he woke me by biting my toes. I had to get up because he was determined. Then his brothers took shelter because he kept pouncing on them.
I got everyone fed and figured he'd fall asleep. Nope. The mischief resumed. He was FLYING through the air at his brothers. It was pretty funny. Finally, at about 7, he curled up in my arms and we both fell asleep while watching Morning Joe.
Now he's been fed, again, so his energy is back. Madoc and Gryff had given up on running away from him. It's just futile. He's like the Terminator Kitty.
This was at 8, this morning.

(26,318 posts)It's so funny - he is fearless. He goes in for another vaccination, tomorrow. He's been well behaved for the vet, so far, but this is his first solo visit.

(16,620 posts)I think I kind of know what Gryff and Madoc are going through these days. I had a sister who was 5 years younger than me, enough to ensure than we were always at vastly different developmental stages growing up. She wanted ALL the attention she could get from Big Sis, ALL the time... and she didn't really care what kind it was or what she had to do to get it!
She soon learned that one way to get it was to be an incredible pest, sometimes deliberately keeping at it to the point where I would lose my patience and take a swat at her. Then she would cry, and I would be scolded for hitting my "poor little baby sister."
Now I'm not saying it was okay for me to hit her or for any kid to hit a sibling (unless there's a genuine self-defense issue involved). But a kid that age has limited resources in their toolbox, and nobody even tried to help me find a better way to deal with it. But back to the cats...
It sounds like Arthur is still at a stage where he has more energy than he knows what to do with at times, just as his big brothers are outgrowing their own hyperactive kitten stage, so of course he gets on their nerves every now and then.
As you know, he will eventually catch up with with them developmentally. But right now, all my sympathies are with the big boys, because I've been in their shoes (so to speak), having to deal with a bratty younger sibling.
I can't recall if Arthur been neutered yet, but if not, he will probably settle down some when that happens also.

(26,318 posts)He's 3 months old, now. Gryff and Madoc got the snip at 5 months. I'm hoping to get Arthur taken care of in the next month or so. I just REALLY want to get it done well before that puberty/spraying problem sets in.
Right now he's napping in the cardboard baseball stadium at bought for him at Aldi. The entire floor is a scratching board. His brothers snuggle down in it, occasionally, but Arthur has claimed it as his castle.
