I've only had one big boy take to my little one so far. He seems to have anointed himself "big brother and protector" (thank goodness). Wish I'd had my camera close this morning when Luna got a little too rowdy and Peanut put the leg across the top of the head and held it there trick! Calmed Luna right down! (LOL) Your two are so cute above, Siwsan. How are you managing without the others? Are you adapting okay? I went on a toy buying binge Sunday... which I really couldn't afford, and yet couldn't resist, either! Thank goodness it was all on sale! (LOL)

They are wrestling, racing around, jumping and napping as usual. Both of the big boys are really adjusting to the kittens. They'll play and snuggle with them and they do lots of allogrooming.

I just love that Madoc is Arthur's actual brother, and that Gryff is so at home with both Madoc AND the kittens. I lucked out.

Peanut is the only one who's got the big brother temperament here. His sister is fussy with everyone else. I constantly have to remind her to "be nice" and not swat anyone. The five old cats are set in their ways. I biggest cat (a Norwegian) is actually a big scaredy cat. I do hope he comes around someday. My Maine Coon is more of a wait-and-see mode right now. Sometimes okay; sometimes not. He's acting out at times.

I think what's really happening is not so much the entrance of Luna. It's the loss of Sweetie. Sweetie was the Leader of the herd, without letting it be a big deal. Everyone took their cue from him. His loss has been felt big time, and not just by me. So, now there's a reshuffling, I think. And no one knows "their place," if you know what I mean. I'm trying to establish myself as "Alpha" in the way that Sweetie was and they look at me like I'm nuts! (Hehehe) I'm just "Mama" Eventually, everyone will settle back in a groove and someone will rise to the top of the pecking order. I hope my hair doesn't turn completely silver before then!
