Do you have a cat that drools?

Raven, my little black cat, gets all affectionate, the motor starts up, she makes biscuits and starts drooling.

Now that is one absolutely content and happy cat!

I’ve noticed she’s more drooly on Mondays (my day off). I work really long days on Sat and Sun, so I think she goes through love withdrawal.

6. My parents did, years ago.

It was an all-black long hair. It drooled like crazy once it started purring.

Some of our houseguests were affectionate to him initially, but gently moved him away after they realized their clothing was getting drenched in slime.

NONE of them had previously witnessed such phenomena.

His mother was a Calico (fixed after she had a set of kittens) that was a brilliant cat, and my all-time favorite. Her all-black kitten, which my parents kept, wasn't too smart tbh. But he was very loving (and drooling)!

It was also with petting and one of them could drool so much we'd need a towel.

The all-black drooling cat that I mentioned earlier in this thread was repeatedly abandoned by his Calico mother as she'd carry the other kittens away to only feed them.

Then we'd hear the black cat barely meowing in the shadows somewhere and immediately bring him to one of his mother's teats. After awhile, the mother was like, "Fine! I'll feed him too! Okay?!" And it never happened again as he got a little bigger as a kitten.

I read that drooling while purring is like the cat salivating when it was breastfed, but I don't know if that's the actual explanation.

Sleep against my chest and lay his head on my neck or my cheek.

Every morning on my neck and face it was moist with fur stuck in it and when he woke up there was always a little drop of catspit on his bottom lip. And he went to sleep purring against me and we woke up together and he would be purring getting up to look into my eyes with his aquamarine beauties and give me kitty kisses. Yeah he was a happy little drool bucket. My other cat Rustle who was Sparkles boyfriend would purr all day too.

Here was my baby. God I miss him.
