My cat enjoys getting rubs, but she isn't a lap kitty. The Siamese that I had a few years ago was the quintessential lap kitty who would climb into my lap, extend himself, and give access to his belly for rubs.

He was snuggled up next to me and I was giving him chin scritches. All of a sudden he gave off a sweet, soft series of meows. My interpretation was 'A little to the left. AHHH, that's the spot. Thanks Mom!'
