Perfect way to start my day. A NEW photo of Madoc's Chicago siblings.

I wonder if the reason he bonded with Gryff, so quickly, is because he reminds him of his brother Cinder (formerly known as Squeaky). I sure do miss these two!

Smoke, the gray one, was the 'leader of the pack' when I brought the 4 kittens into the house. They were 4 weeks old. She'd hiss, swat and spit but when I picked her up, she'd just melt. She turned into such a loving little girl. Cinder, the black one, was the runt of the litter and a total snuggle bug. He spent hours perched on my shoulder, kissing my chin and taking naps. It was SO hard to see them move to Chicago!

And, of course, I kept the wild child, Madoc.

Very cute..I don't think I have ever had a litter of 4 in which all four survived. That is quite a feat..2 at most 3..

She's the one I lost to an irreparable genetic condition, at the same time I lost Sophie. Losing them within hours of each other is why I suspect my vet gifted me with Gryff. I must have looked like a wreck when I took Madoc in for a vaccination.

I have followed the plot in general but I missed that...Gryff is the "good kitty" to Madoc's hellion I understand..
Madoc sounds more like my various cats..my cats are all little urchins
At least Madoc and Gryff get along..mine quarrel far more than I care for...brats..

People told me it might take a couple of weeks for them to settle in with each other, but it was just a couple of days. Gryff was bigger but Madoc called the shots. Now it's like a 50/50 situation as to who will instigate a wrestling match. I've never heard a hiss or growl from either.

Now that I can open the front enclosed porch, that's where they spend most of their day. It's warm, full of sunshine, they can watch the world and there's the occasional insect to chase, catch, and perhaps eat.

Cinder looks like he's resting his head on the softest, floofiest pillow ever!
