Print that large and frame it. It's perfect photographically and emotionally. A classic. . . . nt Bernardo de La Paz Jul 2020 #9

I opened the front door to grab the paper before dawn that morning, unaware she was near enough to bolt through the door. But seeing one of my sweet wild rabbits in the yard, off she went down the street to the distant wetlands fields that surround my house. So, I, with my bum ankle and barely dressed ran out after her--knowing I'd never catch a six-month-old athletic dog--who didn't yet even know me. So I stood in the middle of that field--literally sobbing --for 20 minutes and just as the sun was starting to come up, here she comes bounding toward me, tail-wagging. It was then we absolutely bonded.

Our german shepherd went nuts, broke his leash and off they went. The deer were so graceful as they sped along and Oats the dog was a one year old and he just had a dust trail behind them. Poof they were gone. That night Oats came home soaking wet, tired and hungry.

Walked out on my deck bridge and there was a buck standing right there. My two pitties bowled past me, knowing me down. I looked for them for a couple of hours and when I came back to the house... walking down the driveway after being gone over 4 miles. There they were sitting on the deck with quizzical looks, as if to say..."Where the hell have you been?"

One of our pups bolted off into the woods through an opened gate. You have to be ever vigilant, I know, I know. Looked for her for hours. As it started getting dark, we returned home with a heavy heart, only to find said pupper sitting on the front porch with the look of...where you been? can I come in now?
