When Shugarfoot met Maveric

Last edited Sat Nov 30, 2019, 01:42 AM - Edit history (1)

When I was 8 or 9 I decided to introduce Sugerfoot (my friends kitty) to Maveric (my kitty)..

The setup was a square hallway that had doors that closed the hallway completely dark, when all doors were closed, couldn't see my hand in front of my face.

Shugarfoot showed up in my yard, so I decided to introduce him to my home.

I had put Maveric into one of the rooms off the hallway.

Somehow, when I showed Sugarfoot the hallway, Maveric got out and ran up my body to attack him...

I spent ??? time to try to separate them.

At the end, I realized my wrists were cut, and somehow I knew one would cut ones wrist to kill oneself, so I ran to my neighbors

The kitties thought of me as the 'tree' in the room, and ran up and down my body till I was able to get the hell out of that hallway.

Dog...a mother with puppies...for a walk, something he'd never done in his life. Unfortunately, that left her puppies alone in a room with another mother dog with puppies. We shouldn't have had them in the same room. I walked in later and it looked like an axe murderer had gotten to one of the unattended puppies. I poured all my love into the surviving puppy. He lived almost 16 years and went with us to Hawaii, Germany and all Europe, and England. Funny that your comment brought all that back.

some good, some bad, and some horrible...

I hope your stepson does not feel guilt..not sure how I would have felt if one of the cats died?
