New baby goatie! This is Kami (Kamala). Her mom is Lizzy (Elizabeth), and her aunts are Mazie and Claire. They are Pygmy/Nigerian crosses that I got last Nov, and pretty small themselves. Apparently Lizzy had been dallying.
I hadn't posted about her yet, because she was born the same night my mare died at 33 yrs old. I had her half my life. It was devastating. Life and death.
Having baby Kami has helped. She's incredibly tiny--about the size of a Chihuahua, maybe 3-4 pounds, and loves cuddles and pettings.

(34,125 posts)I have 2 boys, wethers. One is a Nigerian the other a Pygmy. They are now 12 years old. I love them like crazy. There is nothing like goats, they are the best of all.
I am sorry about your mare. I started out here with 7 horses and am down to 5 and they are all old including the one that I had bred and was born out here in my barn. It is killer when they go just like anything it take a long time to get over it. When the goats go I will be an absolute mess.
Congratulations on your adorable little one. I love her white forehead. Looks like an angel landed there.

(1,969 posts)33 years! That's a long time to know and love an animal friend. You may be missing her for some time.
Your goats look great, especially Kami. I'm glad you have them to help you at this sad time.
