The vet wasn't sure he was going to make it. The other pups kept stealing his nipple. There are only 4 pups, mom is 10 which is pretty old for a dog mom. The people who had her weren't feeding her enough, and not the right food. Once I got her here, I started feeding her puppy food, all she wanted, and she started producing more milk. You never know what you will get when you foster.

What happened to the rest of the litter?

I fostered dogs and once 3 from a litter of 4-week old puppies. I LOVED IT! I am leaving 75% of my assets to the Humane Society in San Diego and the Morris Animal Refuge in Phila (that's where I fostered them while in college). I hope my health insur and the moron don't take it all before I die...I want the animals to get help and not the Fed Govt.

You are a kind soul and we need more people like you in the world. Happy Holidays to you and your tiny baby.

I'm glad they are all together. Is their mom going to be "fixed" now? 10 years is too much for a dog to start another family.

And the pups will all be adopted. 4 is a small litter, but it is the perfect size for her. There was 1 pup that got stuck in the birth canal and didn't make it, and we weren't sure for a while if little Ben would make it, but they are all doing well now.
