Got some good news this evening.

Our son has a 15 year old mutt, who is a truly sweet dog. We got a call from him last week (our son, not the dog) that J.J. was having issues. He had some swollen discs in his neck and was in severe pain. The vet said the he really needed surgery, but that because of his age he probably wouldn't survive the surgery. The vet said they could try medication and pain killers to see if they could reduce the swelling. As you can imaging Tim (the son, not the dog) was very upset.

We just got a text from him (the son, not the dog) that J.J. was recovering and feeling much better and that the meds had worked. We were all (the son, us, and we are sure the dog as well) were exceedingly relieved to hear that J.J. is feeling so much better.

There is so much crap going on in the world today, that we will take any good news we can get, and hearing that J.J. will be around for a while yet lifted our spirits quite a bit.

Two of my pups have lived past 18, so I sure can identify and the non invasive alternative is always best. Kudos to Tim and so happy for J.J., may he continue to feel so much better...

Ranging in age from 5 to 15. We never planned on having 5, it just sort of happened. And, or course, we love all of them to pieces.
