Goose 1, detective 0 - US cop whacked in head, smashed to ground in vicious attack

Sergeant Detective Ray Hall had forgotten his keys and was trying to walk back to the front door of the local police station when he was set upon by an agitated goose.

Video footage of the incident was uploaded to YouTube by colleague Shane Bassett who wrote, "Detective Hall forgot his keys. He then attempts to enter the building and is challenged by our local geese."

"Bad decision."

The video shows a goose launching itself at the unsuspecting Sgt Hall, who attempts to keep the violent goose at bay with his bag.

in the ponds around my house. They chase my dogs, my cats and my goats. I learned a long time ago that the only way to not have this happen is to stand really tall (I am about 5'2'' so I have to stand really tall), spread your arms out like they do their wings and hisssssss at them loudly while walking toward them. It works every time, they don't know what to do about that. I have never even come close to being chased or charged or hit from the sky. Just a PSA from someone who has a real goose problem some years because the cities chase them out and they come out here.
