As soon as I started reading the article, I thought of a kid I saw in the grocery store last week. He was still riding around in the cart, as well as walking. I'm pretty sure he had this too. There was something about his eyes.

AMMON — When Dan Bezzant heard what happened to his son at school Thursday, he broke down crying.

The Ammon father was sitting in his driveway when he received a phone call from his ex-wife explaining what had occurred during school breakfast.

“Jackson was eating and three older boys started picking on him. They were saying he looked like a monster and kept calling him names,” Bezzant told EastIdahoNews.com. “Luckily an aide caught it, but hearing this — I just broke down.”

Jackson Bezzant, who will turn 8 years old on Sept. 28, was born with a rare condition called Treacher Collins syndrome. It affects the development of bones and facial tissues and an estimated 1 in 50,000 people have the condition.

I grew up being bullied, I ended up as a six foot 1.5 inch Bering Sea crabber, they don't screw with me anymore and haven't for decades.

When I see anyone of any age or color being bullied I get pissed off, and I mention my thoughts to those who are doing the bullying.

I've never had to say my thoughts twice, people are going to be cruel, they don't like it when it's done to them.

Not at all.

That little boy is better than any of them.
