Proving to be one helll of a problem, especially if you want it to be wifi connected.

We have this now

And sending it back already to try another one, the cooling wasnt working to the right temp as I have independent temp gauges I put in the compartments to make sure.

Before I asked to send it back I had Samsung repair out and they said these models have major issues all the time with ice makers and other stuff.

If i send back the second one *thank god I bought them at Costco" (the link I used for the photo is not Costco) I am not sure what to buy next.

And unlike Samsung and other imports that are having tariffs slapped on, you will get the value in the price and a good refrigerator. Unless prices have jumped - I still have mine for 10 years and no problems. Chose to get it when we remodeled and instead of replacing the Sub-Zero with another Sub-Zero since all it ever needed was repairs.

2. what does a wifi connected fridge do?

I could see a stove, but a fridge? why? (still have and LOVE my late 80s/early 90s single door GE with the old fashioned inside freezer that you defrost. thing has worked forever and holds a lot of stuff inside, instead of in the fucking doors. I hate every new fridge I have seen in the last 15 years) I have a cheap freestanding icemaker that is easily replaceable when it inevitably dies.

3. My Amana fridge

is 39 years old and still going strong!

the country 4 or 5 times and still works great. Ah, for the days before programmed obsolescence.

7. We were told

That, and the price of a new one, kinda helped me make the decision to just keep our old one. The design of the interior drives me nuts, but I guess I can put up with it for a bit longer.

9. Our last one was a Sears Kenmore, it lasted 7 years to the day before it died.

It cost almost 2000 new. We replaced it with a Samsung, but everyone says they are all pretty much made the same way and won't last. When we called a serviceman for our last one he said he could fix it, but it would cost almost what a new one costs.

All of these appliances are like bic lighters, disposable. No wonder our landfills are full.

Learning how to do streaming on my Smart TV that has a dumb remote.

Am now buying a smart remote to stream.

Do not confuse me any more. I learned my Smart Range a few years ago that has no buttons. I am the only one who can operate it and keep my handy guide in the next drawer!

I suppose if it could show you what all was in those tupperware containers and help plan a dinner it might be OK, or monitors mold growth/vegetable wilt. I am not anti technology but I am having trouble seeing what a connected fridge could do. yes a little snarky, but also genuinely curious.
