What's for Dinner, Thurs., June 25, 2020

Pork cutlets with sauce.

Pasta salad with halved grape tomatoes and broccoli rabe that has been cooked in garlic and olive oil. The pasta cut the RG chose is unusual. I've never seen anything like it. I tried to find the name of it, but can't find it on the web. It must be a specialty pasta. I couldn't even find it on this encyclopedia of pasta shapes web site:

If I had to say, it would be twice the size of a rigatoni but with the ridges wider spaced and thicker.

Salad with fennel, apples, and walnuts. I had enough left from yesterday.

Dessert: a few spoonsful of ice cream--my favorite, vanilla Swiss almond, and another which is creme de cacao ruby with pistachio and cream. The m'fr of this ice cream says the ruby is introduced during the fermentation process of the cacao bean.

Couldn't help myself. I always read these threads, and I'm always amazed at the wonderful meals everyone cooks. While I'm eating peanut butter and jelly on toast.

Wrapped up in a flour tortilla, I put that in the hot skillet with a bacon press on top to seal both sides.

Mint tea, I needed a break from black teas for awhile.

It's really good! I just cut sprigs, bring to a boil, and let it steep.

Very refreshing cold, too.

I use spearmint.

Pasta with Italian sausage and marinara, and broccolini. Maybe some pieces of melon.
