The RG left me (he went to Milan to Cibo, the food show) a beautiful piece of filet mignon. I'm going to have that, plus spinach. Definitely some wine to go with this. And maybe I'll make a cauliflower dish of some sort, since I have a nice fresh head of it.

(3,813 posts)we do not use the whole pepper we divide it into quarters, then stuff it.
How do you keep the stuffing in?
I make stuffed peppers all the time--one of my favorite dishes. I admit I base mine on the looks of the ones at WF (Whole Foods), which are whole and stuffed to the brim, topped with cheese. Also 9.50, which I why I never buy one. Who pays 9.50 for a stuffed pepper? Certainly not me.

(35,810 posts)You haven't been around for a while.
The Hispanic market near me carries Jarritos soft drinks, and oh, yes, pineapple is the best!!
The Cinco de Mayo meal sounds terrific, even though I don't know what tinga publana is. Has something to do with Poblanos, though, I'm sure.

(2,016 posts)Yep- Jarritos "la piña" is my favorite too.
Nice to see it went national, and not just local to the US-Mex border.
