What's for Dinner, Sun., Dec. 3, 2023

Chicken matzoh ball soup. The RG and I have been working on it for the last few hours.

Side dish is Brussels sprouts with cranberries and goat cheese, balsamic over the top.

It's rainy but fairly warm here. Still nice to have soup.

He's having wine and I'm having my own kombucha brew mixed with ginger kombucha for a little extra fizz.

Dessert: Seggadurras, which we ordered a few extras to take home from the restaurant last night (Italian dessert of cream and cookie crumbs). Decaf coffee.

Excited about watching the last season of Doc Martin!!

Time to clean out the vegetable drawers!

Bits of iceberg and Romaine lettuce, onion, cherry tomatoes, half a green pepper, two hats boiled eggs, some turkey slices, a carrot and some olives. I think we have some almond slivers. French dressing.

Tomorrow will be a shopping day!

Will be ready in a few hours, can't wait! I will saute some fresh spinach with a couple cloves of garlic for the side. Beverage is a glass of cranberry pomegranite juice mixed with some tonic water. Dessert is vanilla ice cream with fresh pineapple topping.
Comfort food most definitely!

puff pastry, layer of shallot & chive Boursin cream cheese, layer of salmon mixed with thyme, dill, lemon peel and egg yolk, topped with puff pastry. My weeknight chef (son) made brussel sprouts with bacon, garlic, balsamic vinegar and brown sugar, and both dishes cooked together in a 425 degree oven for 25 minutes.

I filled up on salad so I only picked at my chicken. It was good, though.
