I just took a chocolate pound cake out of the oven.

5. oh this crowd would pass up any pie for this cake

it was my grandmother-in-law's signature dessert. The first time I took it to a family event, one of the great grandsons said "Is that what I think it is?" So they always want it. Other folks can bring pie; I have to bring the cake

6. I say that often, especially when I am baking cookies or brownies to

take to an event. Poor Mr YD wants to eat many more than I will allow and always hopes I bring some home.
