Breakfast Thursday 2 November 2023

irisblue is going to her mothers memorial service & family gathering and asked if I could fill in for her for the next few days.

Drinking my first cup of black coffee now ☕, later I plan on toasting an English muffin, fry and egg 🍳, melt some cheese and add a little ham for a breakfast sandwich.

But just popped into the oven a Vanilla Brown Butter Pear Oatmeal Bake dish. First time trying out this recipe. Sounds good, sure hope that it is. Quite ambitious for this time of the morning.

The Vanilla Brown Butter Pear Baked Oatmeal was delicious! Here's a not too good photo, but it'll give you the idea of what it looked like.

Mine was half a meatloaf sandwich. Early this morning the gas/electric company tore up the street outside our private road, preventing us from getting out. They did tell us two days ago, but I didn't understand they would be tearing up the entire road. So I had to scramble to get my car up the mountain a block because of the road being dismantled. They started at 7, way before my rise and shine time.

And oh man, the crabby looks I got from the workers for not having my car out on time and making them move to make way for my exit. If looks could kill....

I was actually so sleepy when I left that I ran into a big pile of asphalt! Fun stuff.
