What's for Dinner, Thurs., Sept. 21, 2023

Turkey-broccoli-pasta divan. Made my own cheese sauce for this; took forever. Anyway, one slice left.

Tossed green salad with apple, celery, fennel and no-sugar poppyseed dressing.

"Orange crush" kombucha.

Dessert: one Zaini chocolate and a cold decaf.

Caesar salad, sort of.

Romaine and red leaf lettuces, cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, rolled anchovies, slices of hard boiled egg all opted with a creamy garlic dressing.

Fresh French bread and butter.

Chardonnay.

Daring brand chicken pieces. I seasoned some and browned them on both sides on the stove. I served them on some leftover rice that I turned into a quasi risotto. Also steamed asparagus spears and some fresh mandarin slices.

It was nice. It didn't necessarily taste like chicken but it tasted good and the texture was surprisingly similar to the real thing.
