What's for Dinner, Wed., Sept. 6, 2023

Soup-type fruit base of yogurt, frozen bananas, and coconut. On top is cantalope, strawberries, and red grapes.

It's really hot here--94, and this will be great for a cool dinner. AKwannabe made it about a week or two ago and I took notes.

a small toss salad.

Well I managed to get out of the jury. One of the questions the defense lawyer asked was do you have a problem with a defendant not testifying. Thinking about Trump, I said I do. I said if the person is innocent you would think they would want to defend themselves. I also said I know some people have a fear of public speaking, so I'm not 100% sure I would say that about every case. Apparently that was enough to get out of jury duty.

salad is simple: a bag of mixed greens w/ tomato. carrto, onion, celery and mushrooms. Choice of bottled dressing.

pizza is pepperoni, ham, mushroom and onion w/ extra cheese

cantaloupe for dessert

Dad had pasta with Italian sweet sausage, peppers, onions & mushrooms with alfredo sauce, and a salad w/ Thousand Island dressing.

I enjoy one regularly
And will more often soon.

I found a tiny basement apartment. Thank goodness! Was desperate!

Has only micro, frig and small basin for meal prep. I might get an air fryer or toaster oven. Have a instapot so can use that too.

Won’t be cooking on a regular basis for a few months.

I vote for the air fryer over the toaster oven. I use mine all the time: toasting nuts, bread, fries from the freezer. Plus so easy to clean. Mine's a spacesaver, too, only about 8" in diameter. I didn't pay a lot for it, either.

I notice Emile uses his a lot, too, for all kinds of items.

I've been having fun changing up the "soup" base for the fruit dish. One time I added blueberries and another, peaches.
