Chicken gyoza.
Will pick up some additional soups (wonton for sure) and noodles (prol'ly sesame) on my way back from the bank.

Starting to plan New Year's Eve. We're thinking of getting a duckling. And oysters for good luck as we're not into black-eyed peas!

I'm just going to doctor up a Red Baron pepperoni pizza with slice baby bellas, onions and banana pepper rings, extra cheese. Husband just asked if I wanted some fresh basil. Seems he's not only been growing a cover crop of spinach, but has basil and parsley, as well.
And I just picked up parsley at the grocery today.
Tomorrow, I'll be back to actually cooking again, all of my excuses having disappeared. It will be a slow cooker meal, so nothing too trying.

(86,963 posts)I had a horrible gastronomic incident about 35 hours ago. I have not discerned if it was food poisoning or a neurological issue that has manifested this year or something else.
I finally had a pancake late this morning and it's holding up okay, so far. I need more food but I am not sure what. I don't really have an appetite yet and my back hurts. But I feel I could eat something not too spicy or acidic, I just don't have any imagination. I need something besides pepto bismal, gatorade, tea and water.

(86,963 posts)I eat some meat. I have some chicken noodle, maybe that's what I'll have. Don't have saltines but I do have naan bread that's easy on my stomach.
Thanks.

There's a reason it has the reputation it does. It's just so easy on the tummy and you need the nutrition when you can't hold anything else down.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

(86,963 posts)I had the soup, a big mug, and a piece of toasted naan bread w/butter. I found a half avocado from my last dinner so I sliced that up and ate that too, need the potassium too.
Just finished a half hour ago and so far I'm holding. I appreciate the suggestions, I know this stuff but when exhausted and still unstable it's hard to remember all that. Having someone make suggestions usually does the trick, somebody has an idea that will work!
